NOTE: ALL work on ANY firearm should ALWAYS be performed by a competent Gunsmith. ALWAYS follow ALL NRA safety rules.
Installation Instructions for a new, bare R/T Trigger group Housing:
1. Please read the installation instructions thoroughly prior to
beginning installation.
2. SAFETY modification and installation:
The first thing to install on a new trigger group housing is the safety and its related components.
In the parts kit with the purchase of a new housing, you will find a special 8-32X1/8 set screw that has been shortened for this application. You will also need to supply a safety, a factory safety detent spring and a safety detent plunger.
The needed tools are:
· 1/16” Allen Hex wrench
· Wire snips
· Blue Lock-Tite

2A. The factory safety detent plunger spring (B54) will need to be
Shortened to a length of: .300”. The safety detent plunger (B53) may also be shortened a small amount in order to allow more adjustability, approximately .050” is desirable.
2B. Place the Safety into its thru-cavity with the red ring facing the
right hand side of the housing, and the detents facing towards the safety detent plunger and spring cavity.
2C. Place the safety detent plunger and safety detent plunger spring
into their cavity, then thread the special provided safety
adjustment set screw into position. It is advised to do a mock-up
assembly first to ensure the safety is working properly, then remove the set screw and apply blue Lock-Tite (or similar thread locking compound) to the threads.
The set screw can be adjusted as desired to allow a soft and quiet safety actuation, a very positive actuation, or anywhere in between. Be certain that if any adjustment of the safety set screw occurs for ANY reason after final installation that you re-apply thread locking compound to the set screw as needed.
